Policy Approved Regarding Public Employment Related Crime

The Board of Commissioners of the Magistrates Retirement Fund of Georgia approved the addition of the following policy at the May 8th, 2023, Magistrates Retirement Fund Board Meeting:

A judge who is arrested for or has been charged by way of indictment, information, or complaint with a
“public employment related crime” (as defined in O.C.G.A. § 47-1-20), shall inform the Secretary of the Magistrates Retirement
Fund of Georgia in writing within five days of being arrested or being charged.
