Refund of Dues
A member who has ceased serving as a Chief Magistrate may apply for a refund of contributions paid into the Magistrates Retirement Fund.
To request a refund, the member must submit a Refund Request Form and waive any right to retirement benefits from the Fund. Upon approval, the member will receive a refund of all dues paid, together with 5% simple interest as provided by O.C.G.A. § 47-25-83.
Please note that accepting a refund terminates all rights to retirement benefits associated with the refunded service.
